Cardiac Consultation
PATIENTS: Please contact your GP first as you need a letter of referral before we can see you. Your GP will then contact us and arrange an appointment on your behalf.
Specialist consultant cardiology services are available by referral. Patients will be seen rapidly, supported by same day, on-site cardiac testing, as required at our new facility in Waterford city (Williamstown Centre, beside WLRfm).
Correspondence will be posted or emailed the same day. Urgent angiography and stenting, cardiac imaging and cardiac pacing, where required, will be performed in University Hospital Waterford and UPMC Whitfield.
Active symptoms that might suggest cardiac disease include chest pain or discomfort, breathlessness, and palpitations. We provide urgent review and complete investigation from basic consultation through to invasive evaluation and treatment, to resolve your clinical concerns.
